I am a mess.
You are a mess.
Oh, yes we pretend that we are all beautiful and clean.
We love to appear to have it all together.
But, in the end, we are all messes.
We are broken cisterns.
And that is ok.
Because Jesus did not come to save the clean ones who have their act together.
He came to save messes.
He came for the undone, the ugly, the poor, the sinners…the messes.
“When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Mark 2:17
So glory in your mess today.
Rejoice in your Redeemer.
Glory in your need of a Savior and His all-sufficiency.
And let Him be your All in All this weekend.
