A Trip to Europe With One of My Grandsons {MamaMoments}

As I write this I am in the process of getting ready for a big trip,

I mean a really big trip.

The kind you dream of…

the kind you plan for for months.

The kind you get a little nervous about because it means flying overseas in a big plane for 9 hours when you really don’t like to fly. 🙂

One of our daughters and her family live in England so guess where we are going?

My 13 year old grandson gets to go along.

So we have gotten our passports, done our shopping for our walking shoes, printed up lots of instructions and necessary papers etc..and starting our packing.

To make it a little more exciting we have added a little to our trip….

In making our flight schedule we discovered that we could go through Frankfurt, Germany and have a 12 hour layover. So, off to Frankfurt for a day trip before arriving in England we go!

Bus tour, boat tour and a day of sight-seeing are all planned!

From England we also plan to go to Scotland and France, Lord willing. We are all excited as we pack and get ready.

Even though only one grandchild gets to go with me, all the rest will be going in their excitement!

We will be gone for two full months.  Bon Voyage!

Update from Jenny:  MamaMo and my “Pilly” have now been gone over a month and we are counting the days until their return.  They have visited castles, walked the quaint shops, enjoyed all the gluten free options, hugged and hugged family.  Next week they visit Edinburgh, Scotland and will look forward to sitting in on our church’s annual synod meeting for a bit and walking around the areas where our beloved brothers and sisters were martyred for Christ.  My son is also looking forward to getting to stop by the family tower that our family clan has owned for generations over there.  All in all they are having an amazing experience making lots of memories!

MamaMo is the wife of one wonderful man (for over 40 years), mother of 3 beautiful grown children and their spouses, grandmother of 12, craft show vendor and Scentsy Certified Consultant. She wears many hats, but her favorite and most special times are with her grandbabies!  The oldest is 14, the youngest still in the womb!  (By the way, MamaMo also happens to be my own dear Mama!)
