Attitude of Gratitude

I created this blog post years ago and thought it would be a blessing to repost. Do we have an attitude of gratitude?

1. Sunshine in the sky after several days of rain…

2. The squeals of delight as the children fly a kite so high up in the air.  Hearing them yell for “Mommy” because they want me to be a part of it…

3. Vigorous kicking inside me reminding me that a precious newborn will be in my arms in a few weeks, Lord willing…

4. The opportunity to lead my children in family worship and teach them about the things of the Lord…

5. A daughter that loves Jesus and is a peacemaker among her siblings…

6. Hearing my girls practice their piano and knowing they are learning…

7. The small bits of strength to be with my children, after a long bout of sickness and trial…

8. Chili cooking on the stove that my helper has made…

9. Being able to kiss my husband as he dashes in for a moment at midday…

10. A messy family room, knowing that there have been memories made by all the little people who have made the messes…

11. The promise of Spring in the air…

12. Seeing my son light up when he can read a word in phonics…

13. Slobbery kisses, impulsive hugs, teenage boy grins…

When we practice the attitude of gratitude, the list goes on and on with our blessings from the LORD!

What things are you grateful for today?
