I am so glad it is Friday! I love, love, love Fridays…especially Friday late afternoon, when Daddy gets home and we have the whole weekend with him ahead.
I also love Five Minute Friday! I love to just get to type, let the words flow from my heart into the keyboard. Maybe I am crazy (ok, yes I am!) but I love the challenge. So here goes…todays prompt is “Still”.

Go:
Still
What comes to mind when I read the word “Still”…?
The verse, “Be still my soul…”
We are to talk to our souls and tell them to be still.
What does that mean?
Do we know in our society what being still really means?
Do I know what it means?
We have appointments and playdates, homeschool projects and church activities…
We have lots of children, which means noise and busy-ness…
We have Ipods, computers, television and internet…
How can we be still?
In the secret of our hearts, we are to be still and know that He is God.
I must rest…oh so silently…quietly…sweetly upon my God…
As the gentle breeze that blows upon a warm summer day, I must revel in the Savior and let His love wash over me.
It will quiet my troubled, busy, stirred up heart.
And I will be still and know that He is God….
I will rest…in His righteousness, His faithfulness, His majestic holiness…this still small voice of His Spirit that whispers to me…
Be still and know that I am God. He is God and none other.
He says the storm…Be Still.
To the storms in my heart and life…Be Still.
And I am quieted.
Stop.
