Being a novice writer and new contributor, I wanted my first article to be profound and beneficial to you readers. You see, my prayer is to one day be that Proverbs 31 woman in my home; that Titus 2 woman at church. Someone known as a prayer warrior and has a prayer and a Bible verse for every situation that is brought to her by others.
So what to write about it?
Marriage? Well, hubby and I have been married for over 10 years, but I was saved a little over three years ago and hubby just started coming to church with us this year… so we’re still working on what a godly marriage looks like.
Finances? No, not that either… I just left the workforce after the birth of our 4th child (he’s 6 months now) and we are having some problems getting all the bills paid. But God is with us and I am learning how to be frugal in various areas.
Children? My parenting skills are definitely a work in progress. Just recently my middle daughter has been having anxiety attacks and issues sleeping at night. It’s turned my whole household upside down and I feel that’s mostly because I didn’t know how to deal with the issue and ensure peace in my home and help for my daughter. It’s gotten better and I’ve learned a lot through it (especially how important vitamins are to your child’s diet!), but I’m definitely a work in progress in that area too.
Homemaking? Should I start with all the paper that gets piled onto my table daily? Or the laundry that stays in the dryer for a whole week? Or the living room that seems to always be in a state of chaos no matter how many times I try to clean up… no, definitely not there!
I realize that my life isn’t perfect and I have a lot of growing up to do as a new homemaker – but this is where I am and it’s where God can use me. So for you readers out there who don’t have it all together and are still learning and growing – you are not alone! In writing this article, God has shown me that I need to go through this time of growth as a daughter of the King, wife to my hubby, and mother to my children in order to become the Titus 2 woman I pray so much to be! I pray that you would all look at the situation you are in right now and know that God can use it all for His glory. Stay in His word, pray without ceasing, and ask God to help you become the woman he made you to be! Then be ready for the situations He will bring into your life in order to grow you into that Proverbs 31 and Titus 2 woman you pray to be!
I pray that you would join my blogging journey, here and at my blog Growing P31 Woman. It is my desire that wherever you are in your journey, you would look to the Lord to give you the grace to grow into the godly woman He made you to be.
