We have heard from a few of our single sisters and now it’s time to glean wisdom from MamaMo.
As I put my fingers to the keys of my laptop, I ask myself what I have to say to younger women that are single? I have married, had children, raised them, seen them marry, have 12 grandchildren, and will have my 41th Anniversary in May with a wonderful man.
Then I think upon the soul that lives forever within each one of us. That eternally we are all the same. How there will be no marriage in heaven because His saints are married to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That we all are to be heavenly minded instead of earthly minded. That our hearts are to be totally given unto Him in this life, that we are to hate what He hates and love what He loves.
In His love He weans us from the world more and more by giving us gifts of difficulties and trials to draw us to Him for His needed grace. We are to see sin for what it is and fight it with all our might by His strength to pound it out. He opens our eyes more and more as to who we really are, full of putrefying sores head to toe, deceitful above all things. We would be cast into hell if Christ in His mercy had not died for sinners and rose again for the lost.
Those that are His are to be devoted to Him, live upon Him, serve Him and show His love by loving others. Their hands are not their hands, their legs are not their own. They have been born to love Him and enjoy Him forever. They are to bow to His ways and submit to His every word and command. They are to be content with their lot and be thankful for even the tiniest crumb, for they know they deserve nothing. They know that everything they have or have been kept from comes from His love. Their heart bubbles over with love for Him.
Self grows smaller and smaller as the days go by. Their thoughts are brought captive to the Word of God as their every day love. They do not trust themselves because He has told them not to. He has courted her, He has called her to Himself. He has loved His before they have loved Him.
His bride is in love with her first love, she will go wherever He leads her. She will be content with whatever He gives her. Her happiness comes from being with Him in His Word. She rejoices in getting to know Him more and more. She delights in life because He has given it to her. She seeks to serve Him in whatever capacity she finds He has put her. She bows every day and rejoices every day that He has risen for her.
What can I say to single women? That which is said by our creator to every soul on this earth…..
Oh, dear, sweet ladies, lift up your hearts to Him and let His love fill your hearts with newness of life. Let the kisses of His mouth fill your mouth will such love that everyone around you hears of your first love.
Know that He has you in a special place to love Him before all others in this life. You are special because this is what God has said…He has laid out your life for His purpose and His purpose alone!
It is for His glory that at this time you are single…but wait…you are not single, YOU are HIS and HE is YOURS!!!! You are His bride and He is your husband. No other is like Him!!!!
No other will love you like He will and does. Rejoice with all your heart this very day that He loves you!
