This week was a short little chapter called “Heavy Branches.” Rachel encourages us in regards to fruit bearing. Her picture of a fruit tree gives us much to think about.
Truly the fruit tree bears to the glory of God, being willing to bear and bear and bear, without looking into how that fruit will be used. How much of the fruit will get picked and how much will get “wasted” on the ground. In the grand scheme of things, even the fruit left to rot on the ground has a purpose, which is to fertilize the soil. The tree submits to being heavy laden with whatever fruit the Lord puts on it, without questioning.
This is an interesting concept to consider.
How often do I want to be guaranteed results before I put myself out wholeheartedly in obedience?
How often am I afraid to try something new for fear of failure?
So my challenge today is to live life to the fullest, for the glory of God. Follow Him and leave the results to His keeping!
Would you like to jump in and join us? You will be blessed!
