Here are some quick tips to stay On-Plan for a THM 4th of July!
Eating Trim Healthy Mama style doesn’t have to be difficult on July 4th.
I have good news for you! You can stay on plan and still have a THM 4th of July!
Even if you are not planning the menu, there are a few staples at everyone’s picnic or gathering that will help you keep on track! To keep things easy, I recommend going for an S meal or a Crossover for the special occasion!
Burgers & Hot Dogs!
Well, this is super easy… both are on plan and full of protein! Just skip the bun. You can wrap your burger or dog in lettuce or even a cheese slice. Be sure to pile on the veggies!
Side dishes for a THM 4th of July
Some great side dishes are green salad, fruit salad, melon, pea salad, cole slaw, deviled eggs, or broccoli salad!
Spinach dip & hummus are so yummy too! Baby carrots or celery make a great choice for dipping!
Really missing the BREAD?
Consider taking your own low-carb bread option! Joseph’s low-carb pitas and wraps can work on plan for those who need something easy and store-bought! You can even toast them up before you come until they are crunchy like chips!
