Well, it wasn’t the greatest week, but it was a teensy bit better.
I got a little bit of exercise, which is a good step for me. One of the days this week I got in the pool with my children, it’s amazing how good that is for you! And yesterday I got on netflix, found a dance workout video and made an attempt at getting this ole body moving. As the children were watching me, my 7 year old says “You are not losing any weight, Mom.” LOL! I don’t know if he expected an immediate transformation as I was exercising or what! 🙂 Wouldn’t that be nice if that was the case?
When I weighed in tonight I was down 1.4 lbs. So I was happy with even that little bit. At least it is a start back on the right track.
Over at Confessions of a Snowflake she is talking about weight loss recipes. I have a couple ideas to add.
- Take green zucchini and yellow crookneck squash. Cut them up Julian style and place them on a sprayed cookie sheet. Add whole fresh mushrooms. Slice an onion over the top. Spray with “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” or brush with olive oil. Sprinkle on garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Cook in the oven until browned on the top. YUMMY! This is a virtually zero point side-dish unless you add a lot of olive oil.
- For a nutritious, healthy dessert… peel bananas and cut them lengthwise to make 4 pieces out of the banana. Melt dark chocolate in a bowl mixed with either a little bit of water or skim milk. Dip the bananas in the dark chocolate. Roll the bananas in crushed walnuts. Place on wax paper in the freezer. Serve frozen. These are so good!
How was your week?
Bad week? Good week? Remember, it’s a fresh week!
