overslept the alarm..

adrenaline running right out of the gate…

busy morning…

after taking a breather, dealing with 50 lb. sack of oatmeal that has been calling my name every day for, well, too long…

my helper making 32 cups or more of granola…

all of a sudden water is pouring out of the running dishwasher, filling the floor rapidly with puddles…

run for towels to soak up the mess…

open up steaming machine to see pool of water at the bottom…

begin scooping out water with small pots…

throw more towels on the floor…

sweet baby in Bumbo is crying…

pick him up to discover “mustard” (you know the kind I mean) ALL over…

up his back…

huge puddle in the Bumbo…

now baby is in the sink next to the dirty dishes…

and as I scrub him with the mess all around…

the words come again into my head…

“You’re Gonna Miss This”…

Yes, my crazy, wonderful, and even “mustardy” life…

I will miss this one day.
